Route & Parking
All three routes — metro, bus and driving — are listed below. One thing to note: the show ticket does not include the Huaqing Palace admission; the scenic-area ticket is bought separately.
Getting there
- Metro (best): Line 9 to Huaqingchi Station — the scenic area gate is a 5-minute walk away. Trains still run after the last show.
- Bus: Line 915 and Line 306 run from Xi’an North Railway Station and the main station straight to Huaqing Palace.
- Driving: Lintong exit of the Lianhuo Expressway. Parking is available at the scenic area and the Mount Li entrance — arrive early on holidays.
Parking
| Lot | Where | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Huaqing Palace lot | Outside the south gate, by the Mount Li entrance | Charged at the posted rate; fills up on holidays |
| Mount Li lot | Outside the mountain gate | Shuttle bus and cable car available; allow 2 hours if you want to climb |
The ticket you still need
The show ticket and the Huaqing Palace admission are separate. The scenic-area ticket (valid two days, about ¥108 for adults and ¥60 for students and children, subject to the posted rate) is bought from the park’s own channels — and you need it to enter the venue even if you only came for the show.
