Getting There & Entry
Do I need to bring ID? What if I forget my ID card?
Real-name booking is required and ticket and ID must match. If you forget the original ID card, go to the ticketing counter with your ID number plus the booking order page (or success notification) and other valid information to collect your ticket and enter; an ID number alone is not enough and proxy collection is not supported.
Can I enter if I am late?
No entry is arranged once an open-air show has started. Arrive at the scenic area at least 40 minutes early — see Huaqing Palace and Mount Li first, then walk to the audience area for security and entry. Leave extra time for evening shows: there is a stretch of walking from the park gate to the seating area.
Where do I buy the scenic-area ticket and the show ticket separately?
They are separate: the Huaqing Palace admission (valid two days, about ¥108 for adults and ¥60 for students and children, subject to the posted rate) is bought through the park's own channels; the 《长恨歌》 show ticket through the show's official channels or authorized platforms. Viewers coming only for the show still need a scenic-area ticket to enter the venue.
Is there transport back to the city after the show?
Yes. The last show ends around 23:30, when Line 9 still runs back toward the city, alongside buses and ride-hailing to Xi'an North Railway Station and the main station. Crowds are heavy after the finale — follow staff, exit in an orderly way and do not linger at the gate or the boardwalk.
How do I get to Huaqing Palace? Which metro line?
Take Metro Line 9 to Huaqingchi Station — the gate is a 5-minute walk away. From Xi'an North Railway Station or the main station, buses such as Line 915 and 306 go straight to Huaqing Palace. By car, take the Lintong exit of the Lianhuo Expressway; there are lots at both the scenic area and the Mount Li entrance, so arrive early on holidays.
Can I store my luggage?
The scenic area offers luggage storage; storing large bags before the show (or leaving them in the car) makes entry easier. Exact locations and hours follow the park's on-site guidance.
Tickets & Showtimes
How far in advance can I buy tickets?
Official channels typically open sales about 7 days ahead, and availability updates as seats are released. Peak season and holiday shows sell out fast, so book as soon as your dates are fixed. Exact release times follow the official channel announcements.
How many shows are there each day?
Since October 19, 2026 the regular slots are 18:30 / 19:55 / 21:20 / 22:45.
During the Show
Can I take photos or record during the show?
No. Photography and filming are prohibited throughout — this is an immersive show built on real landscape, lighting and music, so we suggest giving the performance your full attention. Professional cameras and aerial drones are not allowed in the theater.
The seats move during the show — does that mean no restroom breaks?
The show uses multiple performance points, and different seating zones may correspond to different stage segments. Mobile restrooms are set behind the audience seats; if you need to leave, signal nearby staff in advance and follow their guidance during a scene break.
Is the outdoor show affected by rain? Will it be cold?
The show is staged outdoors at the foot of Mount Li and along the Nine Dragons Lake. Temperature swings are significant in autumn and winter and at night, so bring a jacket. Weather announcements come from the park on the day; in severe weather the show may be adjusted or suspended, and we will relay the official notice.
Is there anything happening before the show?
Before the curtain there are often Tang-style flower-parade processions and "flying flower orders" audience interactions, depending on the park's arrangements that day. Arrive early and follow the park announcements — some interactions include free-ticket giveaways.
Booking & Refund
Can I get a refund if I cannot make it?
After booking, a full refund can be requested before 12:00 the day prior to the show; no refund or change after. If issuance fails, full refund. If the show is canceled or postponed due to force majeure, a full refund without fee or free rescheduling to another available show is supported.
Can I choose my seat?
Zone only — not a specific seat. The show spans Mount Li's amphitheatre and the Nine Dragons Lake water stage, and the seat is locked immediately after issuance; seats in one order may not be adjacent.
How do I book? What payment methods are supported?
Tap "Book Now" on this site to add our customer-service WeChat, then pay after confirming your date, show and zone — WeChat Pay and Alipay are both accepted.
Can I buy tickets for family or friends? Can I transfer tickets to them?
Yes, you can buy for others: just fill in each actual attendee's real ID info when booking. But transfer is not supported — the ticket is for the buyer only, and entry strictly checks ticket, ID and person match; a non-matching person cannot enter. If unable to attend, you can refund without penalty before 12:00 the day prior. Scalping, hoarding and markup resale are strictly prohibited.
Something came up the day before — can I still refund?
A full refund is available before 12:00 the day prior; after that, no refund or change. Because the show is outdoors and tightly scheduled against demand, seats close to curtain are effectively non-transferable — decide early.
No more questions? Good seats won't wait — book now.
